Master wooden toy maker Ronald Graupner and his wife Kordula founded Graupner Holzminiaturen as a family business creating enchanting wooden miniatures in the Ore Mountains of Germany. Even the tiniest of pieces are made with woodworking tools invented by Ronald, put together by hand with tweezers, and the figures details are hand painted. Utilizing local, sustainable PEFC certified wood their work is of the mountains and of the century old craftmanship found in the highest quality woodworking in Germany. With the products they create, it is particularly important to Ronald and Kordula to preserve the long tradition of folk art from the Ore Mountains while at the same time constantly reinventing it through their unique and original designs and techniques.
