Maker's Story
Three Bad Seeds
Tacoma, Washington
Founded in 2009
Amanda Weiss started Three Bad Seeds in 2009 by designing + handcrafting animals from woolen sweaters with her young daughter. During a cross-country move to the PNW she was inspired by the western terrain to create her original mountain pillows. Amanda uses heirloom quality Pendleton® wool to produce sculptural pillows and landscape cushions in all shapes + sizes. She and her woodworker husband split their time between the Puget Sound (where their daughter now attends university) and the Mojave Desert. When not in the workshop, they are out exploring all the wild places in between.
