Durable, worn in canvas salvaged from a WWII era US military duffle bag has been thoughtfully paired together and reworked into a versatile tote bag. This large tote bag is perfect for every day use or for a short weekend getaway.
The material used to construct this bag is over 70 years old but still in great condition. Any discoloration of the fabric is the result of many years of natural wear and aging.
Fully lined with beige cotton canvas, this bag features one interior pocket that will comfortably hold your phone, wallet and lots more. Leather bottom boot and shoulder straps are made from beautiful, top grain cow hide. This leather is tough enough to last a life time, but soft and supple enough for comfort.

In 2007 founder Alice Saunders was a college student living with eight people in an apartment that happened to have a sewing machine in the attic. Combining her love for history, textiles and flea markets, she began constructing durable tote bags out of reclaimed fabrics with a timeless aesthetic. Alice put her heart and passion into her designs, resulting in Forestbound bags. Her designs have won numerous awards, including 2018 Best Bag Designer by Boston Magazine. Today, the bags are still hand sewn by Alice and with each is the hope that it will accompany you for many years, creating new stories everywhere you take them.
