Slight shifts in registration, ink output, roller marks, print lines, and other variations may be present in these cards as this is the nature of Risograph printing.

Pencil Urchin Press
Kailua Kona, Hawai’i
Founded in 2024
Pencil Urchin Press was founded by Kona-based artists Sarah Week and Devyn Park. Their original art is put to print utilizing the Risograph printing process, a combination between screen-printing, offset lithography, and digital printing. This process was developed in Japan in the ‘80s for offices and schools, and recently been co-opted by artists for its vibrant spot colors, and eco-friendly rice oil-based ink. Each color is printed separately, allowing for variations in texture and registrations that make each print its own unique piece of art. In addition to printing and selling their own work, Devyn & Sarah teach Risograph printing workshops on Oahu and The Big Island.
