Hiking Hot Springs in the Pacific Northwest: A Guide to the Area’s Best Backcountry Hot Springs by Evie Litton and Sally Jackson (published 11/28/2023 - this is the newest, revised edition and includes 13 new locations.)
Descriptions of more than 80 scenic hikes to - or starting at - more than 160 hot springs in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. This updated edition adds 19 more hot springs for your soaking pleasure. Take a dip in a hot tidal pool on the coast of Vancouver Island, soak in the beauty of the Sawtooth Range as you soak in a spring, or hike into amazing hot springs in Olympic National Park. Nearly all of the hot springs covered in this book are on public land and ar free, making this the essential guide to relaxing in the warm waters of the Pacific Northwest.
Evie Litton broke loose from a 15-year career as a technical illustrator to hit the road in 1983. She happily traded her civilized life for a camperized van she now calls home and has been busy exploring the backcountry to find out what secrets lie around the next bend. Sally Jackson is from New Zealand, where she is a park ranger. However, she has traveled extensively and has visited over 280 hot springs in North America, including 126 that are in this book. She is currently working on the 4th edition of her book "Hot Springs of New Zealand."
